Recently I had the pleasure of being asked to work with Lookers Vauxhall in Birmingham, a large city centre motor dealership which was looking for a fresh idea on how to add value to their female customer experience with their brand.
I was given a brief to create a ladies only event which would give their female clients a new experience within the dealership, thus dispelling the myths that car dealers are like Swiss Tony, and to thank them for their loyalty and business by “Giving something back!”.
I created an event based concept which brought in a retail partner, in this case House of Fraser Birmingham, and would include a Fashion Show and pop up shops from the various concessions within House of Fraser. I also included a Hair Stylist offering to curl/style or pin up the ladies hair as well as a Make Up artist offering make up demonstrations. My role within the event would be to present the Fashion Show, offering the invited guests advice on how to style the latest trends and party season looks based on different body shapes using clothing provided by the retail partner House of Fraser.
To create further engagement I included a competition “The Lookers Lucky Lady” where the winner of the free prize draw won a Personal Shopping trip with me (Stylissimo) including a Style Consultation and £100 Gift Voucher to spend in House of Fraser, all courtesy of Lookers, including their own chauffeur driven Vauxhall to and from their home. We also worked with two of the female technicians from the garage, creating a “Make Over” element to the event where the lovely Sarai and Harps had a full style makeover including Party ready hair, make up and their essential outfit.
The evening also included a charity element as part of the “giving something back” part of the brief, we invited Georgie Moseley of Help Harry Help Others, both the Lookers Vauxhall and House of Fraser’s chosen charity, to speak to the ladies about the successes and achievements the charity and the Cancer Drop In centre are having.
The invitations went out to the Lookers Vauxhall customers and on the evening of October 22nd, the event took place see all the action below.
