Stylissimo On Tour – Autumn Winter Launches

This is one of the busiest periods on the fashion calendar, starting around the end of September there seems to be fashion shows, bloggers events, champagne, canapés galore as the great and the good share with the world their Autumn Winter collections. Inconveniently a lot of the Birmingham based events are around my Birthday and usually clash with a pre-arranged shindig to celebrate/commiserate one moving up the age demographic scale ;0)

This year I’ve been lucky enough to attend a few events last week and more to come this week.
On Thursday I was honoured to attend the AW event at Fortescue’s a wonderful emporium of fashion and lifestyle goodies.
This family run business draws on the expertise and knowledge of the entire Fortescue family, Charlotte is the beaming ray of sunshine who will greet you as you enter. She is the fashion guru selecting a beautiful mix of country , classic attire with high end designer evening gowns.

If you prefer classic styles or a preppy type look Fortescue’s is perfect for you, with some fantastic pieces of Country casual chic.
I love this jacket!

I called their store an Emporium, and when you visit you’ll understand why. For this is a fashion and lifestyle boutique and what makes it a family affair is Mrs Fortescue’s eye for interior design, all that you see when you enter the store from the French shabby chic ornate mirrors and chandeliers to the candles and wine glasses are for sale all chosen personally by Mrs Fortescue. The store has a beautiful ornate French theme running throughout peppered with gorgeous evening gowns and stunning accessories.

My lovely friend Stacey and I (seen above) recommend you check out the stunning umbrella’s, never have I been so excited about a brolly!

It was a busy one last week as on Friday afternoon I joined the ladies of Royal Leamington Spa for their Annual Afternoon Tea fundraiser. This year we were raising money for ILeap a wonderful charity based in Warwickshire. They organise leisure activities for people with mild to moderate learning disabilities aged 4-65years. The aim is so that they get to do lots of fun, inclusive activities with others with similar disabilities and able bodied members. I had the great pleasure of meeting Mia one of the young adults who attends ILeap and very much enjoys pamper days and bowling.
As part of the event LK Bennett shared with the gathered crowd their Autumn Winter collection, of course there was an auction to help raise money and obligatory cake and tea. Maybe a bottle or two of Prosecco sadly not for me as I was driving.

There was a good mixture of smart, casual and evening wear to cater for everything from drinks with the girls, shopping and the high society Christmas do! One of my favourite items (well let’s face it I love sparkles) is this beautiful blue sparkly dress called the Cherry Sequin Dress

My favourite casual look was the leather look leggings and the oversized grey jumper

My heart did go a flutter when one of the models came out and posed with one of the new Rosamund Pike handbags, sadly my photo is a tad blurry but you know the one it’s in all the magazines here’s one LK Bennett prepared earlier

A fab busy week with gorgeous clothes with yet another event this week, more on that soon.
