Autumn Winter LustHave’s from H&M

H&M is always a staple in my wardrobe, great for adding on trend quality pieces at prices that won’t break the bank. I often seek out workwear appropriate jackets and dresses here, as well as a few casual bits and pieces.

From their Autumn Winter collection a few pieces I love include this Denim Dress IMG_0814.JPG
Wear it over black skinny jeans, leggings or opaque tights with boots and a cute scarf (see below) for a fab autumnal look great for those days when it’s cool, but not quite cold enough for a coat.

Given the unfitted shape of the dress, it’s great for those with a straight (no definition at the hips & waist) or semi straight (a little definition at hips and waist) body shape.

Until it turns cold enough for boots, why not try these mock croc slip on trainers

They will keep your toes warm and dry from Autumnal showers, I think they will will look great with the outfit above or what about with a pair of boyfriend jeans

A great alternative to sports trainers and way more chic.

I love a bit of daytime sparkle, this dress is super cute for a day to evening look or I’d even wear it to work to brighten up my day.
I love the position of the stripes, as they create positive focal points on the dress. The sparkles on the collar draw the eye up and to your face, the sleeve sparkles perfectly positioned to draw the eye to your waist. And the hem sparkles draw the eye away from problem areas like tummies or bums.

Finally I have been lusting after a gorgeous tan leather skirt from Zara and think I’ve found the perfect top to go with it (subject to a confirmation try on, obviously).
This embellished top is elegant and sparkly, thus feeling special enough to be “a going out” top.

I like that it has almost elbow length sleeves, it covers my upper arms (bingo wings to you and me) and protects from the chill in the air enough to maybe get away without a coat. (A clear sign I’m showing my age when I’m planning ‘going out’ outfits based on how cold it might be).
I’ve not been a huge fan of this very boxy shape to tops and jumpers, as they aren’t great at complimenting your shape and can widen your top half. I’m hoping that once I try it on with said Zara skirt, the tighter shape of the skirt may balance out the boxiness of the top. Or if all else fails I may be able to tuck it in, but that remains to be seen.
Here is the infamous skirt

I hope you’ve liked my series of LustHave blog’s. I think it’s important to add key classic pieces as the seasons turn which you know you will wear again and again. The Zara skirt is one of my classic pieces this season, a leather (or pleather in my case, due to my bank balance) is something you can wear to multiple situations or occasions and will be one of my staples. But what are you looking for this coming season, a parka? a classic trench? maybe a print like dogtooth? Let me know what you’ve got your eye out for and maybe we can help each other find it on our travels. Comments on my Facebook post please.
